Mesut Ozil has revealed his delight at finally being able to play alongside both Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez with Arsenal.

The attacking trio all featured from the start at Goodison Park as Arsenal secured an impressive 5-2 victory over Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette all found the net in the second half as Arsene Wegner’s men returned to winning ways in the Premier League in style.

Arsenal fans would have been thrilled to see the trio link up so effectively on Merseyside on Sunday afternoon.

However, their fine attacking display did not come as a surprise to Ozil, who says that the trio are always linking up well in training at London Colney.

Speaking to BBC Sport after Sunday’s game, Ozil said: “You know in the training we always show our quality together so you see on the pitch we started really well together.

“It was a little bit unlucky in front of the goal but especially in the second half, we showed our quality in front of the goal to score me, Alexis and Lacazette so we are really happy.”

Arsenal’s win left them in fifth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the title.

The north London side will look to continue their winning run in the top flight next weekend when they take on Swansea City at The Emirates.

Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification.
