Piers Morgan took to social media to praise Aaron Ramsey for his performance after the midfielder netted the winner for Arsenal against Swansea City in Saturday’s 2-1 victory.

Arsenal fell behind in the first half against the Swans when Sam Clucas netted in the 21st minute.

The Gunners went in behind at the break but battled back into the game in the second half when summer signing Sead Kolasinac equalised in the 51st minute.

And it was Ramsey who had the final say, when he scored the all-important winner in the 58th minute.

Former Daily Mirror editor and celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan has been one of Ramsey’s harshest critics over the years.

However, Morgan praised the midfielder for his finish against the Swansea on Saturday afternoon.

As the action unfolded at The Emirates, Morgan tweeted: “1-1. Good finish by The Beast @seadk6. He’s like Giroud’s slightly uglier, tougher, nastier brother. #afc.”

He then added: “2-1. More excellent work by The Beast @seadk6 & good finish by Whatshisname. #afc.”

The victory lifted Arsenal up into fourth place in the table and one point behind Tottenham ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

The Gunners return to Europa League action on Thursday night when they take on Red Star Belgrade at The Emirates.
