Michael Owen is backing Chelsea to secure three points at the Vitality Stadium but is tipping Bournemouth to exploit the champions’ defensive problems.

The title holders were thrilling 4-2 winners against Watford at Stamford Bridge last weekend to end their winless run in the Champions League and the Premier League.

Chelsea lost 1-0 to Premier League leaders Manchester City in their final game in September following Kevin De Bruyne’s second-half winner at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side lost 2-1 to the Premier League’s basement club Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park to leave Antonio Conte’s men nine points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

Chelsea have already conceded 10 times in nine games in the Premier League this season, despite finishing with the third-best defensive in the English top flight last term.

Bournemouth were 2-1 winners at Stoke City last weekend to move four points clear of Palace at the bottom of the table.

Former Liverpool striker Owen is backing Chelsea to ease to victory over Bournemouth on the south coast this weekend but is tipping Cherries to find the net in the Premier League clash.

“The Blues will be banker material for plenty of weekend accas and I expect them to claim all three points on the south coast,” Owen told BetVictor.

“Chelsea have won four of their last five in all competitions at Dean Court but remain vulnerable at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet in their last six.”

Chelsea have won two titles in the past three seasons in the Premier League to exert their dominance on the division.
