Chelsea will make a £60m bid to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the west London club are preparing to make a new offer for the Juventus left-back after having been heavily linked with a bid to sign him in the summer.

A move for Sandro to Chelsea failed to materialise in the summer as Antonio Conte ended up bolstering his full-back options with the signing of Davide Zappacosta on deadline day.

However, the same story is now reporting that Chelsea will return with a new bid to try and sign Sandro in January in an attempt to keep Conte happy at Stamford Bridge.

But despite Chelsea’s reported strong interest in Sandro, the same report claims that Juventus are likely to be keen not to let the Brazilian leave the Italian club in the mid-season window, which could force the Blues to have to wait until next summer to land him.

Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend to leave the Blues in fourth place in the Premier League table and six points behind the leaders after seven games.
