Alvaro Morata has taken to social media to dedicate a romantic message to his wife Alice Campello as the Chelsea striker bids to get back fit as soon as possible.

Morata is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up during the first half of Chelsea’s disappointing 1-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend.

Chelsea are yet to confirm exactly how long the 24-year-old striker will be out of action for but he has been working on his rehabilitation at the club’s Cobham training base in recent days after missing out on international duty with Spain.

Morata has been getting used to life in London with his wife Alice since his transfer to Chelsea from Real Madrid back in July.

And the couple seemed to be in good spirits as they enjoyed some time together on Sunday evening.

Morata posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “I’m lucky 😘 @alicecampello ❤️❤️”

Chelsea are looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon but it remains to be seen whether Morata will be fit enough to feature.

Morata has made a strong start to life at Chelsea, scoring six goals and making two assists in seven appearances in the Premier League.

Their loss to Manchester City last weekend left the Blues in fourth place and six points off top spot after seven games.
