The striker suffered a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City before the international break and the 24-year-old has been working on his recovery at the Blues’ Cobham training ground in recent days.
The extent of Morata’s injury has not yet been confirmed by Chelsea and the west London club are yet to officially reveal when he will be back in action.
Morata appeared to reveal some good news for Chelsea fans on Wednesday morning when he posted a picture of himself smiling, along with the caption: “Coffee before training!”
However, the Spain striker then deleted the post, leaving Chelsea fans confused as to whether he will be fit for the Blues’ trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea supporters will be hoping to see Morata back in action for the Blues as soon as possible, with the striker having made a fine start to life at Stamford Bridge after scoring six goals in his first seven Premier League games.
The west London side are aiming to defend their Premier League title this season after winning the trophy under Antonio Conte last term.
