Length of Alvaro Morata’s Chelsea injury lay-off confirmed – report
Alvaro Morata will be out of action for four to eight weeks with a hamstring injury, say reports

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata will be out of action for four to eight weeks with a hamstring injury, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is claiming that the Spanish striker is set for a significant spell on the sidelines after suffering the problem in the first half of Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Morata has withdrawn from international duty with Spain and will now be assessed by Chelsea’s medical staff in the coming days.
The same report says that Morata is likely to be out of action for at least four weeks, although Chelsea are hoping that he will be back in action sooner than that.
The 24-year-old forward has made a flying start to life at Chelsea since his move to the west London club from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Morata has scored seven goals and made two assists in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s men and the Blues will be hoping to have the striker back available for selection as quickly as possible.
Chelsea return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday 14 October.
