Alvaro Morata has taken to social media to dedicate a heartfelt message to his wife after the Chelsea striker’s injury setback.

The 24-year-old has been ruled out of action for a number of weeks with a hamstring injury after he limped off in the first half of Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Morata will be hoping to be back in action as soon as possible for the west London club after he returned from Spain duty to continue his recover at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.

The striker married his long-term girlfriend Alice Campello at the start of the summer and the forward had a special message for his partner on social media this week.

Morata posted the picture above of the couple together in London and wrote the caption: “You are the greatest gift that has given me life!

“Thank you for supporting me, advising me, helping me, loving me and especially for being my best friend, there is no one person more special in the world than you.

“Everyone who knows you knows you’re amazing. Thank you my love for everything you do for me. @alicecampello 🙌🏻❤️😁”

Chelsea are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table and six points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign.

The Blues have won both of their opening Champions League group fixtures as they look to progress through to the last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition.

Chelsea won the title in style in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge at Stamford Bridge last term.
