Antonio Conte told Chelsea signing is almost perfect
Pat Nevin heaps praise on Alvaro Morata following the strong start he has made to life at Chelsea

Pat Nevin has lavished praise on Alvaro Morata by describing the Chelsea striker as “bordering on perfection”.
The 24-year-old has made a strong start to life in a Chelsea shirt after signing for the west London club from Real Madrid back in July.
Morata seems to have had no problems in adapting to the rigours of English football since his move and he has been a regular fixture in the starting line-up for Antonio Conte’s men.
The Spain international has scored seven goals in eight games in all competitions for the west London club to help them up to fourth place in the table.
He was sidelined with a hamstring injury during the 1-0 defeat by Manchester City last weekend but will be hoping to be back in action as soon as possible.
Former Chelsea winger Nevin has been delighted by Morata’s strong start and feels that he will be a quality addition to the Blues squad.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Nevin said: “At the start of the season I was asked about Chelsea losing Diego Costa and missing out on [Romelu] Lukaku but getting Morata and I think people were surprised when I said I’d take Morata anyway.
“Not because he’ll score more goals than the others, he still might, but because of the other things that he brings to the table and the fact that he’s only 24.
“I see the arguments for the others, like Lukaku, but as an all round player and as a technical player, I think Morata is almost bordering on perfection for a centre forward.
“Comparing him with [Harry] Kane and [Sergio] Aguero is different because those two are world class and I wouldn’t compare him at the moment because Kane and Aguero have done it for a period of time in the Premier League.
“But I may be saying something different [about Morata being world class] in a year’s time.”
Chelsea will return to action after the international break with a clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park as they look to get back to winning ways following the defeat by Manchester City.
The Blues won the Premier League in Conte’s first campaign at the club last season.
