Antonio Conte will have left Chelsea by Christmas, according to Perry Groves.

It has been something of a difficult start to the season for the west London club under the Italian manager, with Chelsea having lost their last two games in the Premier League to leave them nine points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the title.

Chelsea lost to Manchester City before the international break, before suffering a shock defeat by Crystal Palace last weekend.

Conte has made a positive impact at Stamford Bridge since his appointment at the west London club in the summer of 2016 as he led the Blues to the title in his first campaign in charge last term.

However, Arsenal legend Groves seems to think that Conte’s days at Chelsea are numbered and that he could end up leaving the west London club before Christmas.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Groves said: “Antonio Conte will be gone and away from Chelsea by Christmas.

“If someone keeps moaning and groaning, Roman Abramovich doesn’t care – he’s ruthless.

“Look what happened with Jose Mourinho.”

Chelsea are looking to return to winning ways when they host Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets head into the game fresh from their impressive comeback win over Arsenal at Vicarage Road last weekend.

Chelsea, meanwhile, played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
