Antonio Conte has said that he’s looking forward to catching up with Nathan Ake when Chelsea travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Blues are preparing to travel to the Vitality Stadium as they look to claim another three points in the Premier League title race.

Ake was recalled early from his loan spell at Bournemouth by Conte back in January, only for the defender to struggle to break into the first team in the second half of last season.

Conte then made the decision to allow Ake to leave Chelsea on a permanent transfer in the summer window, much to the surprise of many.

The Italian coach is now preparing to take his team to Bournemouth for their Premier League clash on Saturday evening and the Chelsea boss says he is looking forward to seeing Ake.

Speaking at his pre-match news conference on Friday afternoon at Cobham, Conte said: “Bournemouth are a really good team. They play very well. We must pay great attention.

“This will be a really tough game against a team whose position is not right in the table now.

“They played a lot of games very well, and sometimes they were unlucky. I have, and my players must have, great respect for Bournemouth, and their coach who is really good.

“On Saturday I also have the opportunity to say hello to [Nathan] Ake and [Asmir] Begovic, two important players of last season.”

Chelsea head into the game looking to make it back to back wins in the top flight after their 4-2 victory over Watford last weekend.

The Blues also secured a 2-1 win over Everton at Stamford Bridge in midweek to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
