Jamie Carragher has admitted that Eden Hazard has been the Premier League’s best player in recent seasons following his sparkling displays with Chelsea.

The Belgian playmaker has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top stars since his arrival in England from French side Lille back in the summer of 2012.

Hazard has recently returned from a serious ankle injury but it looks like he is on his way to rediscovering his best form for the Blues after having earned huge amounts of praise for his performance in the 2-1 Champions League win at Atletico Madrid last month.

The 26-year-old played a key role in helping Chelsea to win the Premier League title in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge at the club last season.

And Liverpool legend Carragher has admitted that he is a huge fan of Hazard, telling the Daily Telegraph: “He has been the outstanding player in the league over the past three or four years.”

Former Lille star Hazard will be hoping to feature for Chelsea when the Blues take on Crystal Palace in their next Premier League game at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The Blues head into that clash looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League, after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Manchester City before the international break.
