Alvaro Morata has taken to Instagram to stress his desire to return to Chelsea action.

The Spain international moved to the Premier League champions in a £58m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Morata scored six goals in seven games in the Premier League so far this season to make an effortless transition to the Chelsea team.

The 24-year-old striker netted the west London side’s equaliser in a 1-1 draw with La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last week.

Morata was forced off in the first half of Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

With Diego Costa securing a return to Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, Antonio Conte is short on options in attack so can ill-afford to be without Morata for a long time.

Chelsea striker Morata posted the above selfie on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption to give Blues fans some positive news in an otherwise disappointing week.

Morata wrote: “‪I have no time to lose! Working hard towards recovery!😁”

Morata was one of six new arrivals at the defending Premier League champions in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons.
