Steven Gerrard tells Chelsea to learn crucial lesson from Man City loss
Steven Gerrard discusses the main lesson he feels Chelsea can take from their 1-0 loss to Manchester City

Steven Gerrard has urged Chelsea to be more positive in their home games after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Blues headed into the game in fine form and fresh from their 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in midweek.
However, Pep Guardiola’s men thoroughly outplayed the west London side in front of their home fans on Saturday evening as the Citizens claimed a vital victory thanks to Kevin De Bruyne’s second-half winner at Stamford Bridge.
Former Liverpool captain felt that Chelsea approached the game in a somewhat negative fashion and urged them to be more confident in their home clashes forwards.
Speaking on BT Sport after the game, former Reds star Gerrard said: “Chelsea are still good enough.
“They have a fantastic squad and can bounce back from this. But I think the message going forward is that when you’re at home and whoever you’re playing against, come out firing and start well.
“Believe in what you’ve got and see what comes from that.”
Chelsea will now dust themselves down and look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park after the international break.
The west London side are currently fourth in the table and six points behind the leaders after seven games of the new season, as they look to try and defend the title they won in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge last term.
