Rio Ferdinand explains Eden Hazard’s frustration at Chelsea
Rio Ferdinand claims Eden Hazard cut a frustrated figure for Chelsea against Manchester City on Saturday

Rio Ferdinand claims that Eden Hazard cut a frustrated figure during Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Belgian playmaker featured from the start for the Blues, but Antonio Conte’s men failed to gain a foothold on the game as they ended up having losing to the visitors thanks to Kevin De Bruyne’s brilliant second-half winner.
Hazard was linking up well with new signing Alvaro Morata but the Spanish forward was forced off in the first half with a suspected hamstring strain.
The Belgium international struggled to make much of an impact on the game before he was brought off in the second half.
And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand delivered his verdict on Hazard’s situation after the game.
Speaking on BT Sport, Ferdinand said: “He was isolated, and that leads to frustration.
“No matter how good you are, and Hazard is one of the best players in the Premier League, you need service.
“If you don’t get the ball up to him and support him, it doesn’t matter who you are, you cannot do it on your own.”
Hazard will be hoping to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action after the international break with a clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Saturday’s defeat left Antonio Conte’s men in fourth place in the table and six points behind leaders Manchester City heading into the international break.
Chelsea have not put a foot wrong in the Champions League this season after kicking off their campaign with wins over Qarabag and Atletico Madrid.
