Jose Mourinho has warned Manchester United that Huddersfield Town will prove difficult opponents at the John Smith Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils will make the trip to the promoted side in search of three points following a goalless draw with bitter rivals Liverpool last week.

Manchester United are two points adrift of current leaders Manchester City after the Citizens were 7-2 winners against Stoke City at The Etihad.

The 20-time English champions will make the trip to Huddersfield looking to secure their seventh win of the 2017-18 season so far.

Huddersfield haven’t won a Premier League game since the second weekend of the season when the Terriers were 1-0 winners against Newcastle United.

Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 as Jose Mourinho’s side look to secure their first top-flight trophy since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

Speaking at his pre-match media conference about Manchester United’s imminent trip to Huddersfield Town this weekend, Mourinho urged his players not to underestimate the promoted side.

“Everybody knows the Premier League and what it means to play [in it for the] newly-promoted teams,” Mourinho told his pre-match media conference.

“It’s nothing new. Every team in the Premier League is good, every team in the Premier League thinks and thinks well that they can win every match and against every opponent.”

Manchester United were 1-0 winners against Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday night to notch up their third successive win in the competition so far this term.

The Red Devils signed Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic in the summer transfer window.
