Ian Wright: Chelsea signing ready to step up another level
The Arsenal legend believes Alvaro Morata is prepared to go to even greater levels at Chelsea following his summer transfer from Real Madrid

Ian Wright believes Alvaro Morata is already to step up another level at Chelsea.
The Premier League champions signed the Spain international in a £58m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The Blues striker has hit the ground running with an impressive return of six goals in six games in the Premier League ahead of the visit of Manchester City on Saturday evening.
Morata scored his first hat-trick in a Chelsea shirt at the bet365 Stadium last weekend to secure three points for the defending champions.
The Spanish forward scored Chelsae’s equaliser on his first Champions League start for his new club on Wednesday when the Blues were 2-1 winners at Atletico Madrid.
Morata won the Champions League twice with Real Madrid in 2014 and 2017, while he scored six times in 12 games to help Juventus reach the final in 2015.
Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Morata has so much experience under his belt already that the 24-year-old will be relishing the chance to prove himself at the highest level.
“The clubs he’s played at already in his career, he is ready to kick on again [at Chelsea],” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“You’ve got to put Morata in their [with Aguero, Kane and Lukaku].”
Chelsea were initially linked with a move to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal in the summer but missed out on their former striker after Manchester United won the race for the signature.
