Liverpool FC owner’s wife sends message to Jurgen Klopp about defence
Linda Pizzuti, the wife of Liverpool FC owner John W Henry, was pleased to see Jurgen Klopp's men keep a clean sheet against Huddersfield Town
Linda Pizzuti was quick to highlight another home clean sheet for Liverpool after Saturday’s 3-0 win against Huddersfield Town at Anfield.
The Merseyside outfit hosted the Terriers in the Premier League as Jurgen Klopp’s men looked to bounce back from a 4-1 loss to top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
Liverpool were winless in three Premier League games ahead of the visit of Huddersfield and Mohamed Salah missed a first-half penalty to cultivate a nervous atmosphere at Anfield.
However, the Merseyside outfit made the breakthrough in the second half thanks to Daniel Sturridge’s classy finish.
Liverpool extended their lead courtesy of goals from Brazil international Roberto Firmino and former Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldium at Anfield.
Simon Mignolet managed to keep a clean sheet which means Liverpool haven’t conceded a goal in the Premier League at Anfield so far this season for all the criticism of Klopp’s defence.
And the wife of Liverpool owner John W Henry, Pizzuti, took to Twitter to celebrate three points for the Reds team.
Pizzuti wrote on Twitter: “Another clean sheet for Liverpool #lfc”
Liverpool hoisted themselves up to sixth place in the Premier League table and four points behind third-placed Tottenham Hotspur after Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost 1-0 at Manchester United.
