Steven Gerrard sends fresh message to Liverpool FC fans ahead of Man United clash
Steven Gerrard explains why he is still feeling optimistic about Liverpool ahead of Manchester United clash

Steven Gerrard has thrown his full support behind Jurgen Klopp despite Liverpool’s stuttering start to the Premier League season.
The Reds were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon, with Liverpool now having won just one of their last seven games in all competitions.
Their mixed form in recent weeks has left Liverpool in seventh place in the Premier League table as they bid to challenge for the title this season.
Liverpool will aim to get back to winning ways when they take on Manchester United at Anfield in their crunch Premier League clash after the international break.
And former Liverpool captain Gerrard is fully expecting the Reds to bounce back under the German manager.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, former midfielder Gerrard said: “The league doesn’t lie – Liverpool are where they are.
“But what I would say is I am really enjoying watching the team at the moment.
“I love the manager. I think he has taken this team and the club forward. There is a lot of excitement about.
“I can see Jurgen is a little bit frustrated at the moment but so are we all. We are all fans.
“Of course, it could have been a little bit better if chances had gone in or individual errors could have been avoided.”
Manchester United will head into their clash with Liverpool flying high in second place in the Premier League table.
Jose Mourinho’s men are currently level on points with leaders Manchester City after their 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace at Old Trafford last weekend.
Liverpool are aiming to better their fourth-placed finish in the Premier League table last season as they look to try and win the title this term.
