Top 22-year-old open to Premier League move: I’m a Liverpool FC fan
PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot fuels speculation linking the France midfielder with a move to Liverpool FC
Adrien Rabiot has admitted that he would be open to a move to the Premier League.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has become a key part of the PSG team over the past 12 months or so despite the influx of big-name signings in the French capital.
22-year-old midfielder Rabiot scored four times in 39 appearances in all competitions last season to attract plenty of praise for the cash-rich Ligue 1 side.
Rabiot has won three Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France crowns and four Coupe de Ligues during his six-season spell in the PSG first-team since his debut in 2012.
While the PSG midfielder has started all eight of their Ligue 1 games and has produced one assist and has scored one goal to remain an integral part of their team.
Rabiot was regularly linked with a potential move to Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur over the past three or four seasons when he initially struggled to break into the team under Laurent Blanc.
So Premier League fans will be suprised to hear Rabiot hinting at a potential switch to England now considering his increasing importance to PSG.
And interestingly, the France midfielder revealed that he is a Liverpool supporter, which will inevitably lead to speculation touting him with a move to Anfield.
“There are a lot of very good leagues,” Rabiot told RMC radio. “It’s also enriching to go elsewhere, but for the moment I’m happy at PSG.
“I would love to play in the Premier League. There’s not necessarily any club in particular, even though when I was young I was a big Liverpool fan.”
