The ex-Liverpool captain is backing Jurgen Klopp's side to reverse their underwhelming run of form against Manchester United at Anfield next weekend
Steven Gerrard is confident that Liverpool will reverse their miserable form with a win against Manchester United at Anfield next weekend.
The Merseyside outfit have endured a difficult run of results in September after one win in seven games.
Liverpool are in seventh place in the Premier League table and seven points adrift of leaders Manchester City and Manchester United.
Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 5-0 to Manchester City at The Etihad before stalemates with Burnley and Newcastle United sandwiched between a 3-2 win at Leicester City.
Liverpool are still waiting to register their first Champions League group-stage win following draws with Spanish side Sevilla and Russian outfit Spartak Moscow.

Former Liverpool captain Gerrard is backing the Merseyside outfit to beat Manchester United and reverse their underwhelming form in the Premier League.
“It is times like these when you’re getting a bit of criticism and things are not all rosy in the garden that you feel that, you bottle it and you use it when you go out again,” Gerrard told Liverpool’s website.
“Liverpool have got a couple of big games coming up that they’re more than capable of winning. I’m sure it’ll all be smiles just around the corner.”
Klopp led Liverpool to a fourth-place finish in his first full season in charge at Anfield.
The Reds had to settle for a goalless draw with Manchester United in their home fixture last term before a 1-1 draw with the Red Devils at Old Trafford in the return fixture earlier this year.
