Manchester United head into the game looking to continue their fine form, with Jose Mourinho’s men having won six of their opening seven games.
The Red Devils currently find themselves in second place in the Premier League table and level on points with leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have struggled to find consistent form in the top flight this season, with Jurgen Klopp’s men having only won three of their first seven games.
The Reds were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Newcastle United before the international break, while Manchester United were 4-0 winners over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
However, former Manchester United star Pallister is backing the Red Devils to claim all three points against Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.
Speaking to Betsafe, Pallister said: “Tough one to call, it always has been.
“Form generally goes out of the window in these types of games so it’s difficult to call.
“Confidence is with United at the moment, unbeaten at the start of the season going against a team that has a few issues; there is talk of the back four.
“Everything points towards United but playing in these games over the years form goes out of the window. There is going to be a lot of passion in the game, and it’s difficult to call but I would edge towards United.”
Manchester United are aiming to win the Premier League title this season for the first time since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in the 2012-13 campaign.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are aiming to build on their fourth-placed finish under Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League last season.
