Zlatan Ibrahimovic looked to be in good spirits as he posed for a picture with Eric Bailly and David De Gea after Manchester United training at Carrington this week.

The Swedish striker is yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils this season after suffering a serious knee injury back in April and requiring surgery to correct the problem.

Ibrahimovic has been handed a new one-year contract by the Red Devils to keep him at the club until next summer and the veteran forward is expected to make his return to the first team around Christmas.

And the 35-year-old forward certainly looked to be in high spirits as he posed for a picture with two of his team-mates after training at Carrington.

Defender Bailly posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account along with the caption: “Feeling good after today’s training session. Too bad I’m surrounded by these guys .”

Manchester United return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s men head into the game looking to return to winning ways after their shock 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town last weekend.

Manchester United are currently five points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
