Ander Herrera took to social media to lavish praise on Manchester United’s home fans after the Red Devils secured a 1-0 victory over Tottenham on Saturday to reignite their Premier League title hopes.

The Red Devils headed into the game without a win in their previous two Premier League outings, with Jose Mourinho’s men having lost to Huddersfield and drawn with Liverpool.

Anthony Martial came off the bench in the second half to net the all important winner with a composed finish to hand the Red Devils victory and keep them in the race for the title.

Mourinho is aiming to help Manchester United challenge for the Premier League title this season and win the trophy for the first time since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.

And midfielder Herrera was absolutely delighted by the atmosphere created by the home fans at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Herrera posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “It is on these big games when we need our fans the most and you never disappoint us 🔴⚽️ #+3.”

Manchester United now switch their focus back to Champions League affairs and their home clash against Benfica at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils were 1-0 winners against the Portuguese side away from home earlier this month.
