Gary Pallister believes that Anthony Martial has found a new “zest for life” at Manchester United this season.

The French striker has been in good form for the Red Devils so far this term under Jose Mourinho as he looks to try and hold down a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford.

Martial struggled to hold down a regular place at Manchester United last season in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge at the club.

However, the France international now seems to be rediscovering his best form for the Red Devils and looks set to challenge for a first team spot this season.

The 21-year-old has scored five goals and made two assists in all competitions for Manchester United so far this season.

And former Manchester United star Pallister believes that Martial looks like he is regaining the kind of confidence he displayed when he first burst onto the scene at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal two seasons ago.

Speaking to Betsafe, Pallister said: “Martial’s form has been terrific after his season last year where he was not happy and his body language wasn’t great but he has come back with a zest for life.”

Martial will be hoping to start for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on bitter rivals Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime.

The Red Devils are currently second in the Premier League.
