Victor Lindelof insists that he is not concerned about his lack of playing time at Manchester United this season.

The defender signed for the Red Devils from Benfica back in June as Manchester United’s first acquisition of the summer but he has struggled to break into the first team so far this season.

Indeed, the 23-year-old is yet to make his first Premier League appearance for Jose Mourinho’s men since his move to Old Trafford back at the start of the summer.

Lindelof has featured in the Champions League and League Cup for the Red Devils but it is clear that he is not the first choice at the back under Mourinho at present.

However, the centre-half has insisted that he is not worried about his lack of playing time and says that he is in constant contact with Mourinho about his situation.

Lindelof told Swedish outlet Expressen: “It’s between me and him. But we talk and have a good dialogue.

“I feel no stress. I’m at one of the world’s best clubs, it’s clear that it’s a tough competition – but I have the time it takes.”

Lindelof will be hoping to make his first appearance of the season for the Red Devils when they take on Liverpool in their next Premier League game after the international break on Saturday 14 October.

The Red Devils are currently second in the table and level on points with leaders Manchester City after a strong start to the new campaign.
