Michael Owen: The big difference Jose Mourinho has made at Man United
Michael Owen heaps praise on Jose Mourinho following the start of his second season at Manchester United

Michael Owen has credited Jose Mourinho with significantly improving his Manchester United players after just a season of working with them.
The Portuguese coach was brought in as Louis van Gaal’s permanent successor back in the summer of 2016 and the Red Devils enjoyed some relative success last term.
Mourinho led the Red Devils to the Europa League and League Cup titles in his first campaign in charge but they struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League as they finished sixth in the table.
However, Manchester United have started the new campaign in much improved form, with the Red Devils having won six of their opening seven Premier League games to leave them second in the table and level on points with leaders Manchester City.
Manchester United have also won both of their opening two Champions League group games this season.
And former Red Devils striker Owen has been impressed by the improvements Manchester United have shown under Mourinho this term.
Speaking to BT Sport, Owen said: “We followed Man United when they won the Europa League last season.
“Even though they won the EFL Cup and the Europa League, I never watched them and felt they could blow teams away. I always felt opposing teams had a chance against them.
“This season, they’re scoring so many goals and they’re too solid.”
Manchester United return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Red Devils have not won the title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign in charge in 2012-13.
