The Red Devils have been using the versatile England international in a left-back role this season despite Young starting his Premier League career as a winger.
Manchester United have been blessed with some brilliant left-backs during the Premier League era such as Republic of Ireland international Denis Irwin and Gabriel Heinze.
In modern times, French defender Evra was a regular in the role under Sir Alex Ferguson following his move to Manchester United from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in 2006.
The 36-year-old won five Premier League titles, the Champions League and the League Cup during his decorated eight-season career at Old Trafford.
Young has become a vital cog in Jose Mourinho’s machine at Old Trafford in recent months and has been used at left-back in the absence of England prospect Luke Shaw.
And the 31-year-old bumped into Evra on Tuesday to provide the Manchester United star with the chance to pick his former team-mate’s brain about his left-back role.
Young wrote on his Instagram page:
“When you’ve been playing left back and then bump into this Legend of a left back and person #Patricceeeeee❤”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the EFL Cup and the Europa League.
