Eric Bailly believes Manchester United can take confidence from their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

The Red Devils have won six of their opening seven Premier League fixtures in the 2017-18 season so far to keep pace with Manchester City.

Manchester United have already kept six clean sheets in the current campaign after Bailly formed a formidable partnership with England international Phil Jones.

Jose Mourinho’s side will make the trip to their bitter rivals Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture at Anfield on Saturday 14 October.

Manchester United haven’t faced any teams in the top six in the Premier League table so far this season ahead of their tough assignment at Liverpool next weekend.

Bailly believes Manchester United’s unbeaten start has helped to cement the mindset of Jose Mourinho’s team ahead of their biggest fixture of the 2017-18 campaign so far.

“I think it’s very positive. With all the matches we’ve played, the fact that we’ve not lost one is very important for the mindset of the whole team,” Bailly told Man United’s website.

“If we’ve begun our campaign well, then it augurs well for a good finish too. From a personal perspective it’s fine, but you can always do better.

“I am happy with my form. I hope to get even better because, with these opportunities you get, you must always try to improve.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the EFL Cup and the Europa League last season.

The Red Devils signed three players in the summer transfer window following the additions of Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof.

Mourinho’s men are looking to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2013.
