Nemanja Matic has helped Manchester United to look like a Jose Mourinho team, according to Craig Bellamy.

The Red Devils managed to pull off a surprise £40m deal to sign Matic from defending Premier League champions Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United won six of their opening seven Premier League games since Matic’s move to Old Trafford from the defending champions back in August.

The Serbia international has helped Manchester United to look more defensively sound and the Red Devils have kept seven clean sheets in nine games so far.

Matic won two Premier League titles with Chelsea under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte before his move to Manchester United.

Former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Bellamy believes Matic has proven a shrewd addition to the Manchester United team.

“It looks like a Mourinho team now with the power they have,” Bellamy told Sky Sports.

“Matic, we all knew, was a brilliant signing for them.”

Matic was instrumental in helping Manchester United to ease to a 1-0 victory over title rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Manchester United also signed Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Benfica defender Victor Lindelof in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
