The defender had to be substituted in the first half of Manchester United’s shock 2-1 loss to Huddersfield in the Premier League last weekend after picking up a knock.
Jones was an unused substitute as Manchester United secured a 2-0 victory over Swansea City in the League Cup fourth round on Tuesday night.
However, Mourinho confirmed after the game that he’s expecting to have Jones back available for selection when the Red Devils host Spurs this weekend.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Tuesday night’s game, Mourinho said: “There were no injuries, so it is a good day.
“I believe that Phil Jones will be fit for Saturday against Tottenham, but apart from that I have no news.”
Two goals from Jesse Lingard handed Manchester United victory over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils will look to get back to winning ways in the top flight on Saturday after their defeat by Huddersfield left them five points behind leaders Manchester City at the top of the table.
Tottenham head into the game fresh from their 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool at Wembley last weekend.
Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League and won both the League Cup and Europa League last season in what was Mourinho’s first campaign at the club.
