Ian Wright believes there is much more to come from Manchester United signing Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgium international has made a scintillating start to his Red Devils career following his £75m move in the summer transfer window.

Lukaku became the second most-expensive signing in Manchester United’s history behind Paul Pogba following his switch from Everton.

The 24-year-old surely would not have envisioned such a brilliant start to his Old Trafford following a return of six goals in six games in the Premier League.

The ex Anderlecht forward has also netted three times in Manchester United’s emphatic victories over Basel and CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

Lukaku hasn’t been pitted against any of Manchester United’s Premier League title rivals so far, although the Red Devils will face Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs in the coming weeks in the top flight.

Former Arsenal striker Wright is backing Lukaku to get even better at Manchester United as his game develops further.

“Kane can’t do much more to improve his game. He will just get more consistent,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“Lukaku can still go again in terms of the way he holds up the ball. He can still get better. How he manages the game.”

Lukaku scored 25 times in 36 games in the Premier League last season but finished behind Harry Kane in the goal-scoring charts.

The Spurs forward netted 29 goals in 31 appearances in the top flight.
