Man United warned about world-class 24-year-old ahead of Tottenham clash
Former Spurs captain Ledley King is tipping Harry Kane to be amongst the goals at Manchester United this weekend
Ledley King believes Harry Kane will be confident he can score “one or two goals” against Manchester United at Old Trafford this weekend.
The Red Devils will be tasked with taming the free-scoring England international at the Theatre of Dreams as Kane looks to continue his impressive run of form.
The 24-year-old gave the Liverpool defence a torrid afternoon at Wembley last weekend after the England international scored twice in a 4-1 victory over the Merseyside outfit.
Kane has now scored eight times in nine games in the Premier League to continue where he left off in the 2016-17 season after finishing as the division’s top goal-scorer with 29 goals in 31 outings.
The Spurs forward has also netted five times in three Champions League games to prove his talent amongst Europe’s elite.
Kane is a doubt for the trip to Manchester United this weekend with a slight hamstring problem but Mauricio Pochettino will be hopeful the talisman is passed fit.
Former Spurs defender King is confident Kane will get amongst the goals when Tottenham take on their title rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford if the England star is given the all clear to play.
“Everyone expects him to score every week now, that’s the kind of level he’s reached,” King told Sky Sports.
“He’s playing with such confidence he’ll go into every game believing that he’s going to score one or two goals.”
King added: “We’ve obviously had legendary players like Jimmy Greaves, Jurgen Klinsmann, Teddy Sheringham. I played with Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe. At the moment Harry’s right up there with them, for sure he’s one of the best strikers in the world.”
Kane has finished as the Premier League’s top goal-scorer in the last two seasons.
