The Red Devils will welcome Spurs to the Theatre of Dreams as both teams look to keep pace with runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Tottenham were 4-1 winners against top-four rivals Liverpool at Wembley last weekend thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dele Alli.
Spurs are unbeaten in the Premier League since a 2-1 loss to defending Premier League champions Chelsea at Wembley back in August.
Manchester United, on the other hand, lost 2-1 to promoted side Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium following a goalless draw at Liverpool earlier this month.
Pep Guardiola’s free-scoring Manchester City are five points clear of Manchester United and Tottenham in the title race ahead of the tenth round of fixtures.
Former Liverpool defender Lawrenson is tipping Manchester United to play out a 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Old Trafford in Saturday’s early kick-off.
“Tottenham, who are level on points with United, have title aspirations of their own of course – and this is a big week for them as they host Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“A draw at Old Trafford would be a good result for them. For any of the top six teams. if they can go away to one of their direct rivals and get a point, I think they will be happy with that.”
Manchester United are looking to win their first Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson got his hands on his 13th and final top-flight crown.
The Red Devils won the League Cup and the Europa League under Jose Mourinho last term.
