Michael Owen: This player will score for Arsenal at Everton
Michael Owen looks ahead to Arsenal's clash with Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon
Michael Owen is tipping Alexandre Lacazette to fire Arsenal to victory over Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners head into the game looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League following the disappointment of their 2-1 loss to Watford last weekend.
It has been a stuttering start to the season for Arsene Wenger’s men, with the Gunners having lost three of their opening eight Premier League games, to leave them nine points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the title.
Lacazette has looked sharp for the Gunners as he continues to get used to the rigours of English football following his transfer from Lyon in the summer window.
And former Liverpool striker Owen is tipping the 26-year-old to score for Arsenal and help the Gunners claim victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Writing in his blog for BetVictor, Owen said: “Ronald Koeman is a man under pressure at Goodison, with the Dutchman now as short as 4/7 to be the Next Premier League Manager to Leave his Post after Craig Shakespeare’s exit from Leicester in the week.
“He could be fighting for his job on Sunday afternoon with Everton 3/1 underdogs when hosting Arsenal on Merseyside.
“Neither side has been convincing this term but Arsene Wenger’s side remain blessed with a wealth of attacking options in the final third and their new talisman Alexandre Lacazette is fancied to score on his debut at Goodison.”
Arsenal are aiming to significantly improve their Premier League form this season after the Gunners missed out on Champions League qualification following their fifth-placed finish last term.
The north London side have not won the title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign, when they were still playing their home games at Highbury.
