Alvaro Morata has revealed that he wants to stay at Chelsea for a long time after the strong start he has made to his career in west London.

The Spanish striker opted to leave Real Madrid to sign for the Blues back in July after he struggled to hold down a regular starting place in the first team at The Bernabeu.

Morata has made a fine start to his career in west London, scoring seven goals and making three assists in his first 10 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

The 25-year-old will be hoping to fire Chelsea into the knockout phase of the Champions League, as the Blues also look to try and retain their Premier League title this season.

And the forward has told fans that he is hoping to enjoy a long and successful career at Stamford Bridge following his big-money switch back in July.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, Morata said: “I would never regret joining a club a club like Chelsea and hopefully I will be a long time at Chelsea.

“You should never have regrets in life, all the steps that I have taken in my career have served for something and I have learned from them. I won in Italy, I won at Real Madrid and I felt important.

“Now I have a challenge ahead of me to be champion in Spain, Italy and England.

“None or very few Spaniards have achieved that and that is my goal. To win the Premier League and be the Spaniard that has won in three different countries.”

Morata will be expecting to start for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to The Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion.

Chelsea are currently fourth in the table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign.
