Alexis Sanchez has heaped praise on Sead Kolasinac following his strong start to life as an Arsenal player.

The left-back has been a big hit at The Emirates since signing for the north London side from Schalke on a free transfer back at the start of the summer.

Kolasinac produced a sparkling performance as he helped to fire Arsenal to a 2-1 comeback win over Swansea City at The Emirates last weekend.

The Bosnian has been earning plenty of praise for his strong start to life in an Arsenal shirt and Sanchez has been very impressed by what he’s seen from the defender so far this season.

Speaking to Arsenal Player, Sanchez said: “When it matters [in games], he finds me and makes good passes so I can score.

“He is an intelligent player who can create good goalscoring opportunities.

“He’s already demonstrated his quality. He’s scored goals, provided assists and shown what he can do both in European and league games.”

Both Kolasinac and Sanchez will be hoping to feature when Arsenal return to Europa League action on Thursday night with a crunch clash against Red Star Belgrade.

A victory for the Gunners would secure their place in the last 32 of the competition with two group games to spare.

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday with a crunch clash against title favourites Manchester City at The Etihad as they look to close the gap to the leaders down to five points with a victory.
