Alexis Sanchez takes to social media to celebrate Arsenal's 1-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday

Alexis Sanchez has taken to social media to express his delight at helping to fire Arsenal to a 1-0 victory over Burnley on Sunday evening.

The Chile international converted his penalty deep into second-half stoppage time after Aaron Ramsey was pushed in the box.

The game looked as if it was heading towards a goalless draw, but Sanchez was on hand to give Arsenal all three points and help them to move up to fourth place in the Premier League table.

Sanchez’s situation at Arsenal continues to a be a source of speculation, with the 28-year-old having not yet signed a new contract, and his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

However, the Chile star seemed to be in high spirits as he celebrated Sunday afternoon’s victory at Turf Moor.

Sanchez posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Happy for our victory and for our team, next on Wednesday 🔴⚪️.”

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they take on Huddersfield Town at The Emirates.

The north London side are aiming to at least break back into the top four this season after having ended up in fifth place in the top flight last term.
