Arsene Wenger has revealed that Arsenal will make a decision about the futures of both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in December.
The pair’s futures have been relentless sources of speculation in recent months after they both entered into the final few months of their contracts at The Emirates.
Sanchez himself was heavily linked with a transfer to Manchester City over the summer but Arsenal opted to keep hold of their forward, despite knowing that he could leave on a free transfer next summer.
Ozil’s future has also been a source of uncertainty for the Gunners and it remains to be seen whether the pair will still be at the club by the time the transfer window closes at the end of January.
Wenger insists that the Gunners have not yet made a decision about their futures, and says a choice will likely be made next month.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Wenger said: “No decision has been made on that front, do we let anyone go in January or not?
“We have to think about that to see where we stand with them at the end of December.”
Both Ozil and Sanchez will be expecting to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Saturday with a crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates.
Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign.
