Jack Wilshere has warned Tottenham Hotspur that Arsenal are out to get the three points when they host their bitter local rivals at The Emirates on Saturday.

The Gunners head into the game desperately looking to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 3-1 loss to Manchester City at The Etihad last weekend.

That defeat left Arsene Wenger’s men in sixth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after just 11 games of the new campaign.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have enjoyed a strong start to the new campaign, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men currently in third place in the Premier League table and eight points behind Manchester City.

Spurs travel to Arsenal looking to inflict upon the Gunners their second successive defeat in the Premier League.

However, Wilshere has insisted that Arsenal are confident that they will be able to get the three points against the Lilywhites at The Emirates.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Wilshere said: “You’re only as good as your last game. We lost our last game and we need to bounce back.

“It’s a massive game, and we’re looking to get three points. We’ll be ready for it.”

Arsenal have not won the Premier League since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.

The north London side finished in fifth place in the table last term as they missed out on Champions League qualification and had to settle for Europa League football this season.
