The Gunners have been contending with relentless transfer speculation surrounding their two prized assets, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal have failed to agree contract extensions with the Gunners duo, prompting talk of Ozil moving to Manchester United and Sanchez completing a switch to Manchester City.
The north London side’s standout performer this season has been Ramsey as the Wales international continues to thrive in an attacking role in the Gunners team.
Ramsey has scored three goals and has made two assists in nine appearances in the Premier League last season.
Ozil and Sanchez could potentially leave Arsenal in the January transfer window, or else the Gunners pair could leave for nothing next summer.
Ex-Arsenal defender Keown highlighted Wenger’s decision to place more faith in Ramsey to be his playmaker in the Gunners team.
“Ramsey clearly thinks he can be Arsenal’s main man,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“Arsene Wenger does not restrict Ramsey. He has a licence to roam and he turns the numbers in Arsenal’s favour when they attack, giving them a front four.”
Arsenal signed Ozil in £42.5m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in the 2013 summer transfer window.
The Gunners bought Alexis Sanchez in a £35m transfer from four-time European champions Barcelona.
The north London have won the FA Cup in three of the past four seasons, but Arsenal haven’t won the title since 2004.
