Thierry Henry admits Arsenal star was ‘amazing’ against Tottenham
Thierry Henry heaps praise on Mesut Ozil after his fine display for Arsenal in the 2-0 win over Tottenham

Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Mesut Ozil for his “amazing” performance against Tottenham in the north London derby on Saturday.
Ozil was in fine form for the Gunners as he was named as the man of the match following a fine display from Arsene Wenger’s men against their bitter local rivals.
The 29-year-old has often come in for criticism for below-par displays for Arsenal in recent seasons but the Germany international was at his best as he was named as the man of the match on Saturday.
Arsenal legend Henry was impressed by Ozil’s work-rate with and without the ball and expressed his delight at seeing him hit top form against Spurs.
However, Henry also warned Ozil that it’s now up to him to make sure he replicates that kind of performance on a regular basis.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, Henry said: “The desire in the Arsenal squad was second to none today.
“But Mesut Ozil was amazing. Off the ball, what he’s been doing – helping the back three and then five seconds later nearly being on a one-v-one situation with Hugo Lloris…
“He helped the midfielders and worked hard.
“That has to be every single game, not only a game against Tottenham. It has to be all the time.”
Arsenal’s win left them just one point behind their bitter local rivals in the Premier League table.
The Gunners, however, are still 12 points adrift of Manchester City at the top of the table after Pep Guardiola’s men beat Leicester City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Arsenal travel to Burnley in the Premier League next Sunday.
