Lyon president responds when asked if Arsenal will sign Nabil Fekir
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas plays down the chances of Arsenal signing Nabil Fekir in the January transfer window

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Nabil Fekir in the January transfer window have taken a blow after Lyon’s president said that he expected the attacker to stay at the French club.
The north London side have been linked with a move to sign the Lyon attacking midfielder in recent days as Arsene Wenger ponders bolstering his squad in the January transfer window.
The speculation linking the Gunners with a move to sign him has gathered pace as the uncertainty surrounding Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’s futures at The Emirates continues.
Fekir has been in sublime form for Lyon so far this season, scoring 11 goals and making four assists in 11 Ligue 1 games for the French side.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal’s interest in Fekir is anything more than newspaper speculation, but it seems that the French club have no intention of selling the 24-year-old.
Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas said in an interview with SFR Sport: “Will Fekir be at the club after the winter transfer window? Of course.
“And nothing says that he will leave at the end of the season either. ‘He is under contract [until 2020] and likes playing for Lyon very much.
“He’s enjoying a period of success football-wise, but also in terms of management as he’s the captain of a Lyon team who has got itself back on track – and that’s also thanks to him.”
Arsenal, meanwhile, are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates on Saturday as they look to get back to winning ways in the top flight.
The Gunners were beaten 3-1 by Manchester City at The Etihad before the international break.
