Jermaine Jenas hails ‘ridiculous and unbelievable’ Arsenal fans
Jermaine Jenas praises Arsenal's fans for the atmosphere they created during the 2-0 win over Tottenham

Jermaine Jenas has heaped praise on Arsenal’s fans for the amazing atmosphere they created during the 2-0 north London derby victory over Tottenham at the weekend.
The Gunners produced an impressive performance against their bitter local rivals at The Emirates as goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez wrapped up the three points for Arsene Wenger’s men.
Arsenal were widely praised for their display after the game as they managed to keep Mauricio Pochettino’s men at bay in north London.
However, former Spurs midfielder Jenas has admitted that he was hugely impressed by the atmosphere created by the home Arsenal fans during the derby clash on Saturday.
Speaking on Premier League Tonight on BT Sport, Jenas said: “Saturday against Tottenham was one of those days where it didn’t matter what the last five results were, it didn’t matter if everyone hated Arsene Wenger – it was about winning the derby.
“The support that I heard in that stadium was ridiculous.
“It was unbelievable and it transmitted itself onto the pitch to inspire the team.”
Arsenal’s win left them sixth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games of the new campaign.
The north London side return to Premier League action on Sunday when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor.
The Gunners are in Europa League action on Thursday night when they play German side Cologne after having already booked their place in the last 32 of Europe’s second tier club competition.
Arsenal have not won the Premier League since their famous unbeaten triumph in 2003-04.
