Piers Morgan sends a cheeky message to Harry Kane ahead of Arsenal v Tottenham in the north London derby
Piers Morgan has joked that Harry Kane should come “home” to Arsenal ahead of Saturday’s crunch north London derby showdown with Tottenham.
Kane spent a year as a youngster at Arsenal’s Academy but has since gone on to establish himself as one of the finest forwards in England at their bitter local rivals Spurs.
The 24-year-old has already scored 10 goals in all competitions for Tottenham so far this season to help the Lilywhites up to third place in the Premier League table.
Kane will be expecting to feature for Mauricio Pochettino’s men when the Lilywhites travel to The Emirates to take on Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime.
Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan admits that he is a keen admirer of Kane, and sent him a cheeky message ahead of Saturday’s north London derby.
Morgan told Sky Sports: “Harry Kane’s brilliant. World-class? I think Harry Kane is world-class.
“Fortunately, he’s so good that Real Madrid or Barcelona will buy him next season, so we haven’t got to worry about him for much longer!
“We did it with Sol Campbell so we can do it again – Harry Kane’s a Gooner and we will get him back. Harry, we need you. Come home!”
Arsenal head into Saturday’s game looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after their 3-1 defeat by Manchester City at The Etihad before the international break.
That loss left Arsene Wenger’s men in sixth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind the leaders after just 11 games of the new campaign.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are third in the table and eight points off top spot.
