Martin Keown is backing Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur to secure a 2-2 draw at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners will welcome their bitter Premier League rivals to The Emirates for the north London derby.

Arsenal haven’t won a derby clash at their home stadium since a 2-0 win against Spurs on September 2013.

Arsene Wenger’s side lost 3-1 to Premier League leaders Manchester City at The Etihad last time out.

The Gunners slipped to sixth place in the table and fell 12 points adrift of the Citizens.

Tottenham are level on points with second-placed Manchester United and are eight points behind the leaders.

Spurs were 1-0 winners against Crystal Palace at Wembley last time out to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Manchester United.

Former Arsenal defender Keown believes the north London derby will finish in a thrilling 2-2 draw in Saturday’s early kick-off.

“I think this will be a draw, and if it is I’m hoping for a high-scoring 2-2,” Keown wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.

Arsenal finished behind Tottenham for the first time in Premier League history in the 2016-17 season.

Spurs ended up in second place and seven points behind eventual Premier League champions Chelsea.

The Gunners finished in fifth spot in the table and ended up 11 points adrift of Tottenham.

Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira helped the Gunners to finish the campaign unbeaten.
