Neil Ruddock says he is confident Tottenham Hotspur will beat Arsenal at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs are in third place in the Premier League table but level on points with Manchester United after 11 games.

Tottenham are four points clear of their bitter rivals Arsenal following the Gunners’ inconsistent performances in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger’s side lost 3-1 to Premier League leaders Manchester City in their last top-flight fixture ahead of the international break.

Tottenham have a good record against Arsenal following a four-game unbeaten run in north London derbies.

Indeed, Spurs eased to a 2-0 victory over the Gunners in their last derby meeting following goals from Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Former Liverpool defender Ruddock is tipping Tottenham to beat Arsenal with an assured performance at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday’s early kick-off.

“I’m so confident,” Ruddock told talkSPORT.

“I’ve never been so confident about a Spurs team since I can remember. Seriously, it’s got to be the worst feeling you’ve got about playing Spurs teams in years.”

Tottenham finished in second place in the Premier League table last season after finishing seven points behind champions Chelsea.

Spurs were 3-1 winners against Champions League holders Real Madrid at Wembley last month after already beating Borussia Dortmund at the home of English football.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have lost to Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premier League this season despite their impressive start.
