Arsene Wenger wants Arsenal to include top 22-year-old in Alexis Sanchez deal – report
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants Raheem Sterling in any deal that would see Alexis Sanchez move to Man City, according to reports
Arsenal will demand Manchester City include Raheem Sterling in any deal that would see Alexis Sanchez move to The Etihad in January, according to reports.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Arsene Wenger has rekindled his interest in the England international amid growing talk of Sanchez completing a move to the Citizens.
The same article claims that Wenger wants to revisit the subject of a swap deal involving Sanchez and Sterling after it was touted as a possibility in the summer.
However, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made Sterling a regular in his starting line-up and the Spanish coach would surely be loathe to losing the blossoming 22-year-old.
The former Liverpool winger has scored an impressive seven goals and has made two assists in nine appearances in the Premier League this season.
His recent goal at Napoli was his third in four games in the Champions League group stage.
Sanchez, on the other hand, has netted an underwhelming two goals in 10 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Wenger accused Sterling of diving to win Manchester City a penalty during the Citizens’ 3-1 win against Arsenal in the Premier League earlier this month.
