The French striker’s situation was a source of speculation in the summer months and he was reportedly a transfer target for Everton, but ended up staying at The Emirates.
The 31-year-old forward has found his first-team opportunities at Arsenal to be severely restricted this season, with Giroud yet to start a single game in the Premier League for the Gunners.
Due to his lack of playing time, there is likely to be fresh speculation linking Giroud with a possible move away from The Emirates in the January transfer window.
However, the player himself has now insisted that he is happy at The Emirates and is ready to continue to stake his claim for a place in the first team.
Giroud is quoted as saying by the Independent: “For the moment I am not questioning myself about my future. I am happy at Arsenal and I am fine with the decision to stay because I want to.
“I am thinking that the story between the club and myself was not over and not finished.
“We will see what happens but I am happy at Arsenal for the moment.”
Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates on Saturday lunchtime.
The Gunners are aiming to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 3-1 loss to Manchester City before the international break.
Arsene Wenger’s men have already fallen 12 points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
