Michael Owen states his prediction for Burnley v Arsenal
The Liverpool legend is tipping Burnley to get something out of their clash with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon
Michael Owen is tipping Burnley to secure at least a point from their clash against Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Gunners were impressive 2-0 winners against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby at The Emirates last weekend.
Arsenal surprised their critics with a dominant performance as goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez sealed three points.
The FA Cup holders have a 100 per cent record at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League this season but have struggled on the road.
The Gunners have lost at Stoke City, Liverpool, Watford and Manchester City to leave their title challenge in doubt.
Arsenal have only managed to collect four points away from home thanks to a 5-2 win at Everton and a goalless draw with defending champions Chelsea.
Burnley have already beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this term as well as pick up impressive draws at Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Indeed, the Clarets are level on points with Arsenal in seventh place in the Premier League table.
Former Liverpool striker Owen believes Burnley will secure at least a point from their clash against Arsenal at Turf Moor on Sunday.
“Arsenal were excellent against Spurs in the north London Derby at the Emirates last weekend, but can they back it up at Turf Moor against a Burnley side who have been quite outstanding so far this season?” Owen told BetVictor.
“Burnley start the game level on points with the Gunners yet the betting and many pundits will tell us the Clarets, even with home advantage, are rank outsiders. Of course the Gunners can win and win well, but they were fortunate to win the corresponding fixture 1-0 last season and I think Sean Dyche’s team can get something from the game.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term.
